Hope and Healing

Idle Hands is a ministry for all people to experience recovery and healing through Jesus Christ. We are a Gospel centered, bible teaching ministry who believes that through discipleship, fellowship, and not only serving in the community, but serving one another we can overcome all things. We believe in the life-changing power of Jesus Christ to heal, restore, and transform lives.

Our Impact

In just over a year since our inception on February 22, 2023, IHM has grown from serving 7participants to over 150 individuals weekly. This growth reflects the urgent need for our services and the incredible difference we’re making in the lives of our community members.

What We Do

Life-Changing Programs: Offering recovery-focused support five days a week to those in need. Reaching Beyond Midland: While based in Midland, TX, our ministry serves individuals across surrounding counties.

We’re on a mission to expand our reach and continue providing critical support to individuals in need.

  • As we continue to meet the growing demand for our programs and services, we are thrilled to announce the next big step in our journey: the Idle Hands Capital Campaign! Starting January 1st, 2025, we will be launching a campaign to help fund the expansion of our services, allowing us to better serve our community and reach even more individuals in need.

  • Currently, Idle Hands Ministries operates five days a week out of the mission building at Crestview Baptist Church. While we have been blessed with this space, we are quickly outgrowing it. The increasing number of individuals and families we serve each day has led to a pressing need for more space. This growth is exciting, but also presents a challenge—one that we are committed to overcoming.

  • In our search for a solution, we’ve discovered a remarkable opportunity: a property that not only includes land but also a building that will require some light remodeling to make it perfect for our needs. This location will enable us to expand our services, operate seven days a week, and accommodate the growing demand forthe programs that are so vital to our community.

  • The cost of acquiring and preparing the building for use is $2.4 million. While this is a significant amount, we believe that with the support of our community, partners, and friends, we can meet this goal and create a lasting impact. The funds raised through this campaign will cover the purchase of the property, the necessary renovations, and the operational expenses to ensure the building is ready to serve as a new home for Idle Hands Ministries.

  • Starting January 1st, 2025, we began our Capital Campaign with the goal of raising $2.4 million. This campaign will be an opportunity for you to be a part of something bigger than any one individual. By contributing to the campaign, you are directly investing in the future of our ministry and the many lives we touch. Together, we can create a space that provides not only for the physical needs of our community but also fosters hope, healing, and growth.

  • This is an exciting moment for Idle Hands Ministries, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received so far. We are confident that with your help, we can continue to expand our services and impact even more lives in the years to come. Stay tuned for more details about how you can get involved and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

This 3D walkthrough offers a first look at the planned building for Idle Hands Ministries, providing a visual representation of the space as it takes shape. This is an early draft, created at the Schematic Design phase (15-25% completed drawings), meaning there’s still plenty of room for adjustments and refinements. Now that we’ve accounted for the major cost factors, this is the perfect time to fine-tune the details and ensure the final design aligns with the vision and needs of Idle Hands Ministries.

  • Every Wednesday morning, we lend a helping hand by unloading food trucks to ensure resources reach those who need them most.
