Do Not Judge – Matthew 7:1–6 As we continue through the Sermon on the Mount, this week’s message tackles one of the most quoted — and most misunderstood — teachings of Jesus: “Judge not, that you be not judged.” Jesus isn’t calling us to ignore sin or abandon discernment. Instead, He invites us to examine our own hearts first, removing the plank from our eye before pointing out the speck in someone else’s. It's a call to humility, not hypocrisy — to grace, not self-righteousness. This passage also reminds us of the importance of spiritual discernment. We are called to lovingly speak truth, but also to be wise and aware of the condition of hearts around us. Judgment and mercy must walk hand in hand. Idle Hands is a ministry for all people to experience recovery and healing through Jesus Christ. We are a Gospel centered, bible teaching ministry who believes that through discipleship, fellowship, and not only serving in the community, but serving one another we can overcome all things.
